This is an exciting opportunity to be part of AP Technical's continued success and to be involved in a fast moving, client/candidate focussed target driven sales environment. This opportunity will allow the successful applicant to take charge and ownership of the AP Technical division in Guernsey.
The role requires a good understanding of IT, digital media and telecommunications terminology, allowing the successful applicant to liaise with both technical and non-technical job seekers and clients alike and have the ability to differentiate between different IT and telecoms requirements and the specific type of roles we deal with.
The confidence to communicate professionally and negotiate successfully is essential to managing relationships between employers and candidates, and ultimately to closing deals, so with this in mind, the successful applicant will also need to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with both employers and candidates alike.
Applicants must demonstrate a history of previous sales experience, working to target and ideally meeting and/or exceeding agreed targets and be capable of developing new business leads, cold calling, servicing existing clients and candidates to a high standard so effective account management, business development, client relationship and customer service skills are essential but above all recruitment is a sales role, so the ability to sell is a prerequisite for this role. Applicants will be required to work in a target driven environment, so previous exposure working to both financial and non-financial targets would be advantageous.
The ideal applicant will have at least two to three years previous sales experience in IT recruitment or alternatively this opportunity may suit a sales professional with a passion for and understanding of IT terminology or an IT professional looking for a change from support environments, but with the ability to sell and deal with people effectively.
The role is supported by a generous base salary with excellent commission earning potential.
